Wale

I co-led the creative direction and design of a collection with Grammy-nominated artist Wale, in collaboration with my partner at Akomplice. Together, we created a high-end pair of winter overalls and a balaclava hat inspired by Wale’s Every Blue Moon imprint, featuring a blue, black, and silver color scheme chosen by him. The overalls incorporate YKK’s AQUASEAL waterproof zippers and 3M reflective accents on the knees, ankles, and calves for technical performance. Beyond design, both pieces honor Wale’s Nigerian heritage with a traditional Yoruba pattern rendered in 3M on the overall straps and across the mask, creating a meaningful blend of style, functionality, and cultural homage.
